Hai-Won Kwok

Music has brought Hai-Won to different continents where she gained her musical education and experiences, which shaped her as a versatile musician.
Shortly after moving to New Zealand with her family from Guangzhou, China, as a teenager, her musical talent was immediately recognised, and she was invited by world renowned violinist Nelli Shkolnikova to study at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia. She continued her studies in America at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with Shkolnikova where she received her Artist Diploma.
Subsequently, she gained a Masters degree in Music Performance with distinguished professor Roman Totenberg at Boston University. Hai-Won has performed as a soloist with the Auckland Philharmonia and the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra. She performed in recitals and music festivals in the U.S, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Italy, Germany and Singapore. After joining the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, she has performed in chamber music concerts, participated in outreach programs and mentored students.
