Yeo Teow Meng

Born in Singapore, Yeo Teow Meng started violin studies at the age of eight. Awarded a music scholarship from the Singapore Symphony in 1983 under the Public Service Commission (Singapore) Scholarship Scheme, he furthered his studies with Lyndall Hendrickson and Gunnar Crantz at the South Australian College of Advanced Education (SACAE) in Adelaide, South Australia.
After graduating, he performed with the State Opera of South Australia, as well as various chamber music groups, before joining the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in 1986. In 2016, he performed with the Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra (TMSO) under Maestro Iliahu Imbal on an exchange programme with the orchestra.
In his leisure time, Teow Meng enjoys travelling and photography.
