For decades, the Patron of the Arts Awards (POAA) has continued to recognise the invaluable contributions of individuals and corporations towards Singapore's vibrant arts scene. In 2023, over $50 million was channelled to the development of Singapore’s arts and cultural sector — the highest amount in the past three years.
The 41st edition of the POAA, held on 20 August 2024 at the Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel, honoured 389 individuals and 117 organisations for their role in the arts sector. This marked the largest number of acknowledged patrons since the awards’ inception in 1983.
Arts can build connections across diverse communities, and inspire critical thinking. The strong support from patrons is an acknowledgement of the importance of arts to our society. The arts can enrich lives and shape a more inclusive society.
As a beneficiary of arts philanthropy in Singapore, we are incredibly grateful to donors who have believed in our work through the SSO and its affiliated performing groups. It is only with their unwavering support that the Group is able to sustain its lifelong mission of creating memorable shared experiences with music.
