Recognising Our Patrons
The Singapore Symphony Group (SSG) would like to recognise the large gifts made by the following patrons:
SSO Concertmaster, GK Goh Chair
The SSO established the GK Goh Concertmaster Chair in July 2017.
The GK Goh Chair for the SSO Concertmaster is named for Mr Goh Geok Khim. We would like to thank the Family and Friends of Mr Goh Geok Khim for their donations. We are especially grateful to Mr and Mrs Goh Yew Lin for their most generous gift.
Mr Igor Yuzefovich was the inaugural GK Goh Concertmaster Chair. The position is currently vacant.
SSO Principal Cello, The HEAD Foundation Chair
In recognition of a generous gift from The HEAD Foundation, we announced in November 2019 the naming of our Principal Cello, “The HEAD Foundation Chair”, a position held by our Principal Cellist Ng Pei-Sian.
SSO Principal Flute, Stephen Riady Chair
In recognition of a generous gift from Dr Stephen Riady, we announced in May 2022 the naming of our Principal Flute, “Stephen Riady Chair”. The position is currently held by our Principal Flutist Jin Ta.
SSO Principal Viola, Tan Jiew Cheng Chair
In recognition of a generous gift from the Estate of Tan Jiew Cheng, we announced in February 2024 the naming of our Principal Viola, “Tan Jiew Cheng Chair”. The position is currently held by our Principal Violist Manchin Zhang.

Recognising Large Gifts in a Variety of Ways
The Singapore Symphony Group recognises large gifts in a variety of ways. The recognition could be in the form of a special title associated with a performing group within SSG, or the naming of a position in the SSO.
