Synopsis
“A pianist of inward thoughtfulness and refined eloquence” (Gramophone), the veteran British pianist Ronan O’Hora has performed in every major country in Europe as well as across the USA, Canada, Australasia and South Africa and appeared at many prestigious music festivals. O’Hora also regularly gives masterclasses and sits on competition juries throughout the world. He has been Head of Keyboard Studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London since 1999, and in 2008 also became Head of Advanced Performance Studies. Renowned for the exquisite singing quality of his playing and purity of melodic line, Ronan O’Hora’s Beethoven and Brahms recital at this year’s Festival is one to look out for.
