This event is part of Light to Night Festival 2024.
First time at an opera? Don't be shy. Let our workshop introduce you to the colourful world of Mozart and his vibrant music, before you attend our pocket-sized staging of his famous comic opera - The Marriage of Figaro.
What to expect
- Learn about the origins of opera, fun facts about Mozart and The Marriage of Figaro, opera etiquette and lingo.
- Understand the plot of The Marriage of Figaro by acting out scenes from the opera.
- Sing! – A mini crash course on different ways of singing, and learning a short excerpt from The Marriage of Figaro utilising your voice and kazoos.

Admission Advice
- This concert is recommended for ages 7 and above.
- Parents or guardians of children who become disruptive during the performance may be requested by venue staff to step out of the hall with the child.
- Each individual must have a ticket for admission.
- Strictly no admission for infant-in-arms and toddlers.
- You are strongly advised to be seated 15 minutes before the performance start time.
- Latecomers will only be admitted at appropriate pauses during the show or during intermission, if any.
- Photos, video and audio recording are strictly NOT allowed when artistes are performing.
- These are allowed when artistes are not performing, such as during bows and applause. Please disable camera flash before taking photos.
