Synopsis
Thoughtful, pensive, imposing – Mozart’s music in the minor keys is a fascinating exploration of the depths of feeling and symphonic power he was capable of. His dramatic “Little G minor symphony” – the one that opens Amadeus – makes a curious comparison with the Mozartian “Odense Symphony”, whose actual composer remains unknown.
Pianist Dénes Várjon, winner of Hungary’s most prestigious cultural accolade, the Kossuth Prize, performs Mozart’s revered 24th Piano Concerto in this concert conducted by Hungarian compatriot and conductor Gábor Káli.
