"For me music has always been about lineage. The past is reinvented and becomes the future.” - Philip Glass. From the mesmerising shimmer of marimbas to the kaleidoscopic hues of Nielsen’s Wind Quintet, we return finally to the serene Larghetto from Mozart’s Clarinet Quintet. Andreas Ottensamer, Principal Clarinet of the Berlin Philharmonic, will also present his own arrangements of Mendelssohn’s poetic Songs Without Words. Join him and the musicians of the SSO in these windows into the intimate world of chamber music.
