Synopsis

In this interactive workshop, children get hands-on with sounds using everyday items! Drawing inspiration from various musical instruments, they discover how pressure, precision, and materials contribute to creating sound and can turn into lively music of their own.

'How is Music Made?' inspires children to express themselves creatively, fostering curiosity and confidence. Here, participants experiment with new ideas and discover the joy of creating extraordinary music from ordinary things.

This programme is recommended for children aged 5 - 12 years old (unaccompanied). Children will be able to take home the instrument they create during the programme.

Founded in 2008, Playeum is a registered charity with an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) status dedicated to using play and the arts to create equitable opportunities for learning, voice, and agency in children, especially those from vulnerable backgrounds.
